As the COVID-19 pandemic is happening right now, several companies & organizations are mandating employees to work from home (WFH).
The key to being productive and healthy when WFH is to create for yourself an environment that protects you from feelings of loneliness and isolation, while maintaining & improving important office tasks.
Work From Home: How to be productive and healthy
A work desk next to a sunlit window is recommended, and make sure you have a decent Internet connection.
Planning is important, especially when you’re at home with lots of “surprises” distracting you during working hours.
Communicate on social video channels with your colleagues, to maintain our mental well-being and team bonding.
There’s a rule of resting 5 minutes for every 25 minutes of focusing on the current task. Or you can try a 15 minutes rest for every 90 minutes of working.
Get up from your seat more often than you think and walk around the room or house. The moment of thoughtfulness and increased blood flow will improve productivity once you sit down again. Also, drink more water than you think you should.
Together, we are living in challenging times, affecting our everyday way of life. Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by this novel coronavirus, either directly or indirectly.
EQHO has always been committed to its mission: People First – Putting people first in everything we do: our clients, their clients, our team members, and partners. At this moment, we stay focused and deliver our work to clients as planned.
As a family, we are always focused on the wellbeing & safety of our employees & their loved ones. Under this unprecedented situation, every employee at EQHO is covered with Covid-19 insurance. Our team is therefore communicating with clients and colleagues alike through digital channels for in-person appointments to virtual meetings.
During these times, we are also contributing to our community through donations to support the doctors and medical workers in Thailand, who are on the front lines fighting Covid-19.
EQHO’s offices in Singapore, Bangkok, and Vientiane are operating as usual, from home. Our Operations Department in TEP, DTP and QA services remain at the same productivity levels, work in our designated safe house in Bangkok. As for voice recordings, EQHO also has a backup studio for any urgent requirements.
