In August 2023, EQHO Chairman and Vice President of Swecham, Khun Tomas Julin, recently visited the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SweCham) office to discuss the progress of SweCham’s new website and various strategic marketing initiatives aimed at delivering substantial value to their members.

For several months, the SweCham team has been working on building and developing the new website to create a more vibrant and dynamic experience for all users. With the new website, SweCham aim to strengthen communications with the general public and stakeholders as well as to enhance more value for their members.

EQHO recently completes “Chao Fah Nak Anurak” documentary series in collaboration with True Visions

EQHO Globalization Pte. Ltd. recently completed the first phase of its collaboration with True Visions to create English and Simplified Chinese versions of the 60-episode documentary series “Chao Fah Nak Anurak”. The series was created to highlight Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s years of work and dedication to preserving Thailand’s natural resources, to share highlights of Thai culture abroad and to mark the auspicious occasion of Princess Sirindhorn’s 5th cycle and 60th birthday. “It is an honor for our team to be involved in such a prestigious engagement, and we all look forward to our continued partnership with True Visions,” said Phanitanan Sanitprachakorn, EQHO Group CEO.

“Chao Fah Nak Anurak” was released in 2015, and aired in five-minute episodes on Thai News Network (TNN), True4U, TNN2, True Plookpanya and the Thai Global Network. True Visions also commissioned a limited edition “Chao Fah Nak Anurak” DVD box set, which was presented as gifts to trade partners and foreign dignitaries, and also distributed to school libraries to help young Thais learn about their vibrant history.

EQHO is currently working on their next collaboration with True Visions Group., entitled “Crafts from the Hands of the Hills…To the Hands of the Queen.” The production highlights the lifetime of work that Her Majesty Queen Sirikit has dedicated to helping the hill tribes of Thailand, and is being released in 2016 to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s 7th cycle and 84th birthday.

EQHO Ranked Among Asia’s Largest Language Services Providers

EQHO Communications announced today its official ranking as one of the largest language services providers (LSPs) in the translation and interpreting industry. Issued by independent market research firm, Common Sense Advisory, the report titled “The Language Services Market: 2014” ranked EQHO Communications as a top-grossing language service provider in the US$37.19 billion global market for outsourced language services and technology. Advancing seven places on the previous year’s position, the company was named as the 16th highest grossing localization vendor in all of Asia; evidence of the firm’s continued success.

CSA Research, which has published market-size estimates and global rankings for the past nine years, found that the demand for language services continues and is growing at an annual rate of 6.23 per cent. As part of the study, the firm surveyed language service providers to collect actual reported revenue for 2012, 2013 and expected revenue for 2014.

EQHO Communications, which recently unveiled a revamped website featuring a new resource center, has translated over 200 million words since its inception and recorded growth in excess of 17 percent in 2013. It translated 36 million words in 2013, up from 24 million words 12 months previously, and catered for 56 different languages. Voiceover and multimedia localization continue to be popular services for EQHO, as the company handled projects in 46 languages during 2013.

This success can be partly attributed to EQHO’s recent ISO 9001:2008 certification by TÜV Rheinland, which means sophisticated workflow processes are in place leading to greater customer satisfaction.

It has also been an exciting year for the EQHO workforce with the appointment of VPs of Sales (Richard O’Keefe), Marketing (Steven Bussey) Operations (Cillia Bettus), and Customer Services (John King). In 2013, a new office has been opened in Laos in order to support company operations and to service the Laos market, and this is being headed up by Shane Thompson.

Also during the year, EQHO successfully sponsored Localization World Singapore, while also providing assistance and support for setting up and sponsoring Localization World Bangkok. Richard O’Keeffe spoke at the latter on the topic of ‘East and West, Overcoming the Stereotype’.

Steven Bussey, EQHO’s VP of Global Marketing, commented: “We are doing everything we can to raise awareness for Asian localization, Thailand as a localization hub and Localization World gave us a great opportunity to help with that. This top LSP’s achievement adds even more weight to our mission.”

With so much international focus on ASEAN and the development of the Asian Economic Community (AEC), EQHO is also well placed to play a key role. The key goal of regional economic integration through the AEC is expected to be achieved by 2015. The company has also set itself the ambitious target of a place in the global top 100 LSPs by 2015.
